604 Squadron

Warbirds 604 Squadron acknowledges due respect to the original Royal Air force squadron that
bore this name valiantly throughout and beyond the Second World War. We in no way wish to
detract from their achievements, bravery, or the sacrifices that they made during that period.

Hello mates! Dflite here. I live in Harlow, in the county of Essex, I'm 47 years old, married, with two teenage children, a boy & a girl. I drive articulated heavy trucks for a living, (that's a semi to any "Colonial" readers)!! I'm an amateur aviation historian which is where my love of millitary wartime aircraft grew from. My especial forte is the location & recovery of crashed Second World War aircraft, primarily from the Battle Of Britain, & research into wartime airfields & tracing missing aircrew from bomber Command. Memberships include;Friends Of The "Eighth", & 398th BG.Memorial asc.

Good day gentlemen.I'm 50 years old, married, with two grown up offspring, a son 24 & a daughter 20, and I also live in Harlow, Essex, and also drive heavy goods vehicles for a living. I joined the RAF at 16 where i trained as an aircraft weapons technician. Served 12 years in the RAF, stationed at St Athans, Muharraq, St Mawgan, Conningsby & Wattisham. Served 2 years in Royal Saudi Airforce, then 2 years in Sultan Of Oman's armed forces. I've now stopped all that mallarky, because the Memsahib says i'm getting too long in the tooth for all that stuff !! Did a fair bit of flying in Oman, mainly in Hawker Hunters & Jaguars.
I seriously enjoy this Warbirds thing because it's the closest you'll ever get to real air combat without having to go to hospital when you screw up !!!! Toodle pip chaps !!

James Halstead

Hello All,
I am James "Hotshot" Halstead and I am the youngest member of the squad, being 22 and by far, (well, in my own mind), the BEST ground attack pilot in Warbirds... LOL! I have been with this squad since the old RR days and have enjoyed my time with them.
I live in Misssouri in the USA and am a meat cutter in a local store, until I figure out what to do with my life. I love Aircraft and something about a radial or inline engin in a war-bird really excites me, the way they effortlessly fly through the air and look lethal, sitting or flying! If any of you have ever been around these aircraft you will know what I mean... and i have to say that in this game I have found a whole new respect for the veterans and what they did for us all.
Well thats all from me, for all those of you looking for a squad, come and tryout for 604 squadron, for those of you checking out the competition...well WATCH OUT, me or one of my mates will be on your 6 soon!!

Hotshot out!.

Hello chaps, I'm Trevor Cox. I was born in Kingsbury, London in 1960 and have lived in Harrow for most of my life, with the exception of 3 years in college at Aberystwyth, in the nether regions of Wales. I currently work in the private tax department of a medium sized firm of accountants in the West End.( That's the Posh part of London for you Colonial johnnies )!! My hobbies and interests include playing lead guitar in a pub rock band (averaging 2 gigs a year), collecting records, playing bridge, going to rock gigs, visiting foreign countries, and drinking - usually whilst carrying out one or more of the foregoing hobbies !!! Actual flying experience, other than 747's is limited to 6 hrs gliding & a free-fall tandem para jump ! I've only had my comp for a year, started on WarBirds after i got a free copy with my joystick. I received my call-up papers for 604 sqdn when i first went on line, and have had countless hours of fun helping to shoot the cack out of the Lost Patrol in the relaxed arena on Sunday nights ever since !! That's all for now chaps.
